Description of problem: When I open a NEF file (Nikon type image file), Gwenview can't open this file. I have tried to open Gweview from konsole, and appears various bugs with raw files of some camera vendors. Attach the konsole output.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Mga9-Plasma x86-64 and Gwenview


How reproducible: Open NEF file with Gwenview and appears warning in Gwenview


Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Gwenview
2. Open a NEF file
3. The issue appears in Gwenview and can't open NEF file.

A basic search would have shown that this is an upstream problem. There are even efforts ongoing to renove raw support from gwenview completely.

It seems that it has been fixed in the Gwenview version 22.12.2 as I can read in the last comments in this link:

So I will wait for the Mageia dev wizards to apply the corresponding corrections

Thank you Jose for the report, but sturmvogel comment 2 has it right: handling RAW image formats is specialised (rawtherapee etc), and not something to be expected of a regular image viewer like Gwenview.

Well done for finding the cure comment 4, but please do not rely on this forever.

FWIW, on mga8 gwenview can open that file in comment 2 so mga8 is OK.
( BTW nice to see more people using murena :) )
