Description of problem:
when using the "safely remove drive" entry from the drive's context menu in GNOME/nautilus, a notification dialog is shown:

Unable to stop <label of drive>

Error detaching: helper exited with exit code 1: Detaching device /dev/sdc
USB device: /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb2/2-2)
SYNCHRONIZE CACHE: FAILED: No such file or directory
(Continuing despite SYNCHRONIZE CACHE failure.)
STOP UNIT: OK
Unbinding USB interface driver: OK
Suspending USB device: FAILED: Cannot open /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.7/usb2/2-2/power/level for writing: No such file or directory

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. plug in usb drive (pendrive or external USB stick or a generic MSC drive)
2. use "safely remove drive" from the drive's contextmenu 
3. drive is unmounted, but gives the dialog

According to http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-893978-start-0.html
it is because CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME and CONFIG_USB_SUSPEND is not enabled in the kernel (and indeed it is not)

There is now a kernel-2.6.38.8-7.mga available in core/updates_testing.

Please test that is works for you.
