Description Kristoffer Grundström 2023-01-10 01:42:49 CET
Description of problem:

Squashfuse lets you mount SquashFS archives in user-space.
It supports almost all features of the SquashFS format, yet is still fast and memory-efficient.
So that everyone can use it, squashfuse supports many different operating systems and is available under a permissing license.

SquashFS is an efficiently compressed, read-only storage format.
Support for it has been built into the Linux kernel since 2009.
It is very common on Live CDs and embedded Linux distributions.

I took the liberty of packaging squashfuse for Mageia. Please feel free to build it using the attached spec file.

I have a feeling that we use squashFS in ISOs, so am unsure what difference you are asking for. We already have:
Name : squashfs-tools
Summary : Utilities for the creation of compressed squashfs images
Description :
Squashfs is a highly compressed read-only filesystem for Linux. This package
contains the utilities for manipulating squashfs filesystems.

The purpose of squashfuse is to allow regular users to mount a squash archive
in read only mode without needing root authority, without having to extract
the entire contents of the archive.

The squashfs-tools package is used to create/extract sqfs archives.
