Description Martin Whitaker 2022-12-31 13:39:32 CET
Observed when activating a wireless connection using the pre-release Mageia-9-beta1-Live-Xfce-x86_64 ISO. After entering the passphrase, the NetworkManager applet dies, with the following message appearing in the system log:

traps: nm-applet[2565] trap int3 ip:7f98c0d6a0a7 sp:7fff342023f0 error:0 in libglib-2.0.so.0.7400.1[7f98c0d2d000+89000]

Setting to release blocker as this is the primary method of configuring a wireless interface when using the Xfce Live ISOs.

Source RPM: (none) => networkmanager-applet-1.28.0-1.mga9, glib2.0-2.74.1-1.mga9

Comment 2 Martin Whitaker 2023-01-01 13:59:18 CET
This is https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libnma/-/issues/18. The bug was introduced in the latest version of libnma.

The patch proposed in https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/libnma/-/merge_requests/44 fixes it, but has not been merged yet, so may not be the final solution.

Assigning to the registered maintainer.
