Description Cyril Levet 2022-11-29 20:14:55 CET
Description of problem: kdenlive complains at startup about two missing optional packages :
 - mediainfo
 - glaxnimate

glaxnimate does not seem to be packaged on Mageia.
mediainfo is available on Mageia, but not installed as a dependency of Kdenlive.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): kdenlive-22.08.3-1.mga9.rpm, mediainfo-22.09-1.mga9.rpm

How reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch kdenlive on a fresh installation of Mageia 9 alpha 1

Thank you for the report.

You do not say whether despite its complaints, kdenlive continues otherwise OK.

$ urpmq --requires-recursive kdenlive | grep mediainfo
$ urpmq --whatrequires-recursive mediainfo
 ps3mediaserver

Yes, there is no connection kdenlive-mediainfo. For 'glaxnimate', have to live without.

Assigning to NicolasL who deals with kdenlive.

It starts. I haven't test to load a project.
Comment 3 Stig-Ørjan Smelror 2023-01-29 12:56:13 CET
Is this a release blocker or can we get around this issue with ease?

Should be fixed with mlt-7.12.0-2.mga9 which have now glaxnimate module enables.
