31149 MGA8-64 MATE on Acer Aspire 5253 No installation issues. This laptop has no Broadcom HW, but rebooted after installation to make sure there are no ill effects on the system. Wifi works OK. CC:

herman.viaene My first test was on an install where I was testing the 6.0 series kernel from backports, where the build had failed. The build for this update was successful, but because that hardware doesn't include a broadcom device, I was unable to test for function. My next test was on a HP Probook 6550b MGA8-64 Plasma install that does have an internal Broadcom device. The kernel had been recently updated to 5.15.79, and the old broadcom-wl had built and functioned correctly. This update did the same, with no issues. Next tests were on the same hardware, but on a 32-bit Xfce install using the server kernel. The first was with the 5.15.79.kernel, and was again successful. I then updated to the 6.0.9 server kernel from backports_testing, and that was also successful. OKing this for both arches, and validating. CC:
