westel Did you ever update your Mageia 8? You are still using a heavily outdated kernel from initial release. So it is hard to guess if even an actual Mageia 8 is able to run on you box or if it is really a problem with the Mageia 9 Live iso… Updated my Mageia 8. No error occurred.
How about this time?

kernel I have here a Sony Vaio E Series laptop, intel i5 quadcore.
Both "Boot Live System" and "Install Live System" boot into the selection of language, timezone, and keyboard. No error messages seen. It's all EFI boot.

bequimao.de Additional information: The CPU I am using now is “AMD A10-5800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics”. The bug remains in Mageia 9 final live. Related thread in the forum is: https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=14774&p=88093 Consider to close this thread? Because it looks like a general problem which happens on all distributions with new kernel, not very related to Mageia. |
