Description Ulrich Beckmann 2022-11-01 20:16:46 CET
I configured my GMail Account in a fresh Mageia-9-alpha1-x86_64 installation with a notification of success. Though there is no exposure of its folders to be seen.

lib64sasl2-plug-plain-2.1.27-7.mga9
lib64sasl2-plug-scram-2.1.27-7.mga9

This issue was solved by installing lib64sasl2_3-2.1.27-7.mga9.
Maybe other dependencies are missing, too.

Best regards,
Ulrich

Thank you for this helpful report, highlighting the different Cyrus SASL packages in an upgraded and native Cauldron system.

Cauldron:
$ urpmq --requires kmail | grep sasl
sasl-plug-digestmd5
sasl-plug-login
sasl-plug-ntlm
sasl-plug-plain

Assigning to the KDE group.

Should be fixed now with next libkgapi-23.04.1-2.mga9 update!

lib64sasl2-plug-kdexoauth2
is now installed automatically in a Beta 2 KDE Plasma VM.
I do not use Kontact, KMail in a VM, though.
