(none) Can you please re-define formats, video at least, that you know work or do not with 'Videos/Totem'. I doubt that the desktop matters for this. You have noted this for i586; unless you can try also x64, I will (although I only have .mp4 & .webm examples; point (or send to) me to other formats). I do not think we should get bogged down in what it does with audio formats; we know that it gets auto-assigned to these on some desktops, but this is anomolous & needs correcting. It is described as: Summary : Movie player for GNOME Description : Totem is simple movie player for the GNOME desktop. It features a simple playlist, a full-screen mode, seek and volume controls, as well as a pretty complete keyboard navigation. CC:

lewyssmith things have changed a little. .webm does play: youtube-dl https://youtu.be/Z4C82eyhwgU .mkv does play: youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-rmzh0PI3c video of these 2 file types does not play: .m4v .mp4 : youtube-dl https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBazHpnPd2I audio of file plays. converting either of the .webm or .mkv that do play to .m4v or .mp4 via Handbrake, KDEnlive or VLC does not result in a playable file. Thanks for your tests. Converting the baddies to goodies? Never mind. Assigning to the Gnome gurus. This SRPM has had various packagers. Assignee:
