Description papoteur 2011-10-18 22:08:59 CEST
The module loaded with this card is snd_ca0106. Under KDE, kMix offers only a slide and a button for muting. The sound can not be activated with it.
Alsamixer says that the device is PulseAudio and offers also one slide. With F6 key, a device CA0106 is available. After choosing it, most slides are disponible, and the Front one controlls the sounds.
After rebooting, the problem is the same.
I have solved it by storing the configuration and with a restoration command at booting.

Such a problem is difficult to solve for a beginner and can dissuade to use Linux.
