Description of problem:
As summary.
Icon displays in dolphin looking at /usr/share/applications/gnot.desktop and also on the task bar when the program is running.
Other applications that use .svg display fine in the menus.
This started a while ago but I don't recall just when. It is now the same in cauldron.

Thank you for the report.

Playing with it on a Cauldron system, the lack of a Gnote main menu icon applies *only* to Plasma (Tools-More-Gnote); all the other desktops show a correct menu icon for it.
Is this a Plasma or Gnome affair?
