Mdv, cauldron Yep, the update follows because first, a bug in libnice-devel had to be fixed by dmorgan. :-) I didn't close this bug because I was dreaming... :-) I don't plan to package it for mga 1 as for now, there is no demand. If so, I will. Thanks marja. Status:

RESOLVED In fact... Marja was right, I did a package for mga1 as pidgin-sipe was available in Mandriva. pidgin-sipe-1.12.0-1.1.mga1 is available in "updates_testing". :-) Please test it and I will ask for a update request to the QA. Status:

I plan to test on i586 asap. @Dave Hodgins Hello Dave, I tested on i586 today and it works well in text chat mode. I don't know enough about the capabilities of SIPE plugin but I also tried to make an audio connection (VOIP) but had no joy with that. Many thanks, Paul Thanks Paul. According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIMPLE it is a text-based protocol, so I wouldn't expect the audio to work. I'll go ahead and validate the update. Could someone from the sysadmin team push the srpm pidgin-sipe-1.12.0-1.1.mga1.src.rpm from Core Updates Testing to Core Updates.
