marja11 Um, those patches landed in upstream 5.10-rc kernel, so they are part of Mageia 8 release kernel and every kernel update after that... Right now forcing in the kernel module from that patch in over the default one is the only way I've managed to get the track point to function. Though even with that I'm having to detach and re-attach the keyboard after boot to force the detection of the track point. If I detach and re-attach a second time, my laptop freezes requiring a power off reset. I'll keep testing as time permits and report back. So does it also work if you simply unload and reload the existing module ? |
