When you install festival, it asks you to select one of the festvox files, currently limited to several versions of American English male, or Finnish male or female. The Finnish voices will not work on an english locale system. From what I can see, those are the only voices available upstream that work with festival without the MBROLA software, which we can not distribute due to it's licence. As the MBROLA software is not in a package supported by mageia, a bug report is not the place to get help installing it, so I'm going to close this bug report. If you need help installing the MBROLA software, or getting it working, I think the general discussion mailing list would be a good place to ask for assistance. Feel free to reopen the bug, if I've misunderstood the situation. Status:
