fri mga8, x64 Installed and updated all the packages plus glibc and binutils. Reboot. The procedure link points to the compilation of openssl but does not list the source files. I guess a local build would be the way to go. Shall look into it sometime. Checked ASAN by compiling a test for an old PoC. $ gcc -o useafterfree -fsanitize=address -O1 -fno-omit-frame-pointer -g use-after-free.c Running useafterfree showed the output from the address sanitizer and an ABORT. Used gfortran to compile a noddy Fortran90 program from IBM. The binary worked. CC:

tarazed25 MGA8-64 Plasma. Updated binutils, gcc, and glic all together, and have been using them off and on all day with no apparent issues. CC:

andrewsfarm Tested on Foolishness, my Dell Inspiron 5100, real 32-bit hardware, MGA8-32 Xfce system. Updated binutils, gcc, and glibc all at once, and rebooted. I didn't run it for long, but long enough to use qarepo and drakrpm-update to test the pending webkit2 update. No issues noted.
