Description Franz Holzinger 2022-06-24 15:03:51 CEST
I start by the Mageia 8 GNOME Live DVD.
The firefox browser never loads any website page. It simply does nothing.
Therefore also the bug reporting tool does not send a bug report.

At the same time Epiphany works without problems.

Can not confirm this with an fresh downloaded Mageia-8-Live-GNOME-x86_64.iso

It's also highly unlikely that this is a bug in the ISO as the release is over 1 year old and the ISO got downloaded and used several thousend times.

Please start Firefox from a console and watch for any output whilst you try to open a webpage.

Also be sure that you have established a wifi/Lan connection.

It is of course sure that the ISO is inherently sound. Can we take it that you checked its checksum after downloading it?
Are you running this 'live', or after installation to disc?
If the problem is when running 'live', it might be worth re-making the boot medium (USB key or DVD) in case there is a fault therein. How are you doing this?

The fact that Epiphany (alias Web) works indicates that comms function. It was instructive to try that!
