This is after bug
This is after bug, the previous image is before bug
I have tried this in Windows 10 and don't appears... shit. I don't know if in others Linux distributions will appears. I have tried in Mageia LXQT and this bug don't appears. So, we can suppose that is a problem with our plasma version. Other user with arch and gnome tell me that don't appears there too. Somebody that can confirm if this bug appears in Cauldron?? Greetings!

fri There seems to be some more setting involved as i was not able to reproduce this issue with following setups: Plasma x86_64: libreoffice-7.3.2.2-1.mga8.x86_64.rpm Plasma x86_64 VB: libreoffice-7.3.3.2-3.mga9.x86_64.rpm Both systems were fresh Libreoffice installs. @Jose
> In the "Grouped bar" or "Compact Grouped Bar" UI, the toolbars crash
> when I open two documents and toggle the view from one to the other
> Enable Grouped bar UI, open two documents and change betwen their whit Alt+Tab
To enable me to try to reproduce this problem, please describe *exactly* all the detailed steps in LO to arrive at the situation. Every menu choice and dialogue along the way, exactly.
LO Help says just this:
"To access this command...
Choose menu View - User Interface"
"User interface layouts
The User Interface entry defines which user interface elements are visible."
"Groupedbar compact
The Groupedbar Compact interface provides access to functions in groups, with icons for most-frequently used features, and dropdown menus for others. This compact variant favors vertical space"
Re your attachments, can we understand that the first one (complete toolbars) is the standard UI, and the second one (very truncated toolbars) is 'Groupedbar compact' - for which Alt/Tab to switch between document windows crashes under Plasma? Is this what you expect to see?CC:

lewyssmith To reproduce the error in Plasma: - Install libreoffice with the second option "kf5 plasma integration". Libreoffice will be installed with the "conventional bars" by default. - Go to "Options" in the "Tools" menu. Find the "Advanced" option and click on "Enable experimental features". After this, all user interfaces will be visible. - Go to the "View" menu and find "User Interface" and activate "Grouped Bar". - Open a second document and switch between both documents or other applications with Alt+Tab. - You will see that the icons of the grouped bar (or compact grouped bar) disappear as in the attached image 2. I hope with this you can reproduce the error. The first image is Libreoffice with Grouped Bar applied. The second image is Libreoffice after alternate between documents with Alt+tab, where the icons are missing. "Enable experimental features" was an important information missing in your first posts. This can render LibreOffice unstable. But i couldn't reproduce the error even with these settings... Without experimental features, this bug appears with compact grouped bar. This is a bug reported in upstream with plasma desktop. Good info. Bug link please. You have it in comment 1 Greetings!! OK. That one was marked duplicate of https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147740 - Lower icons disappear in groupedbar compact user interface Keywords:

UPSTREAM Thank you Jose for the instructions in comment 7. Without "Enable experimental features", the UI list includes just 'compact grouped', and not also 'grouped'. I played (Calc x 2) with these possibilities, applied to Calc only: - NOT experimental, compact grouped. - Expermental, compact grouped - Experimental, grouped. The only error I could find was in NON-experimental mode, but after much switching back & forth, reverting to standard toolbars, one of the windows lost its menu bar! Meaning that was not restored, since it disappears in the compact UI. Or does it? The upstream bug makes no reference to desktop. The first two attachments showing the bug with compact grouped icons, in the second one showing how to stop it - no top menu bar! Although it is present in the first screenshot. But the compact bars include a 'menu' dropdown, so that does not matter. With standard toolbars, there is no such dropdown to compensate for the missing menu bar. This is a worms' nest, recognised upstream. Can we close this bug? I see no point in pushing it into the system when there is nothing Mageia can do about it. Summary:
Libreoffice UI crash in Plasma - not LXQt nor GNOME =>
Libreoffice UI corruptions in Plasma - not LXQt nor GNOME It's ok with me, I just wanted to notify it to let the Mageia devs know, and have as a reference that it's not a bug in our package, but in the source of Libreoffice. We can consider the bug closed. It appears from upstream that the bug is also reproduced in version 7.4, which is still under development. > We can consider the bug closed
Thanks. Please excuse the 'wontfix', really means 'cannotfix'.Status:
