Installed all the packages and rebooted smoothly to desktop.

    GL_RENDERER:   NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
    GL_VERSION:    4.6.0 NVIDIA 470.103.01

glmark2, glxspheres64, teapot running at expected framerates.  Everything else running normally on 3K monitor on DVI connection.

4K monitor, Display Port

NVIDIA 470.103.01 working fine after reboot.
Toggled Sync to VBlank and teapot dropped to 60 fps.  Recently changed to DP from HDMI which used to run teapot at 30 fps.

Business as usual on the desktop.

Mainboard: Sabertooth P67, CPU: i7-3770, RAM 16G, GM107 [GeForce GTX 750] using nvidia-current; GeForce 635 series and later, 4k display.

$ dkms status | grep nvid
nvidia-current, 470.103.01-1.mga8.nonfree, 5.15.35-desktop-2.mga8, x86_64: installed 
nvidia-current, 470.103.01-1.mga8.nonfree, 5.17.4-desktop-2.mga8, x86_64: installed

Tested both above testing kernels. microcode from testing.

Tests included normal desktop use, video in browser, virtualbox MSWin7 guest with video in browser.
