Thats a good idea but it will probably not possible to realize. The search function in bugzilla searches only in the bug-database. There is no underlying package-database from where you could get package recommendations if you enter a search string. The same applies for the maintainers. As bugzilla doesnt have access to any package database (which needs to be created and maintained), it's also not possible to add a maintainer automatically. On the other hand we have thousends of packages without an permanent maintainer. It's necessary to use the search function in bugzilla if there was already a bug created. If not, you can create a new one and copy the exact applicable package name/version and maintainer from our Mageia Application Database (MADB) https://madb.mageia.org/ This is implemented by altlinux, which is one of our distributions. There is, in principle, a possibility if bugzilla makes a request to https://madb.mageia.org/и to receive an answer and substitute the result and in the cc the address of the maintainer.
