libgsl.a libgslcblas.a are available as part of libgsl_dev packages in other distributions (ubuntu, debian) but in mageia these libraries are only present in mingw64 packages
so i suspect something wrong with this as those libraries give me plenty of compilation errors (undefined references)

eventually it's my fault, the program i'm trying to run, downloaded from github
did not specify to replace .a libraries by .so libraries as it should have. sorry for the disturbance . the reported "bug" can be closed
