eatdirt Simgear, flightgear and flightgear-data 2020.3.12 landing in updates_testing. To test, install them, and, in a terminal enter: fgfs --launcher Play around. If you want to fly a plane, don't forget to allow "enabling terrasync", which downloads the scenery where you start. If you don't, you'll be in water. kourki No installation issues. I keep thinking that one of these days I'mm do some serious playing with this, but somehow I never do. I don't have a joystick for one thing, and while I know you are supposed to be able to fly without one, I've never gotten that far. But anyway, I ran it using the Plasma launcher rather than the command line, loaded the Cessna default plane, and sat in the cockpit. Manipulated some controls, opened and closed a window, and a door. Started the engine with the autostart function, and advanced the throttle to full (sound effects were correct.) but the thing never moved. Perhaps the wheels were still chocked. Searched around for a while for the engine "off" switch, in vain. Finally used quit while it was still running. As far as I was able to go, it looks like it's running as designed. This sort of test was good enough before, so I'm going to send it on its way. Validating. Advisory in Comment 1. Whiteboard:

RESOLVED @thomas for the Cessna, check-out the brakes, SHIT+B Then TAB to switch on mouse control of the ailerons. Or you can play around with: fgfs --launcher Menu -> planes, add default hangar, search for "bluebird" and install it. It is a sci-fi overcraft, very easy to fly, starts hot, very nice to discover the scenery. super merci. super Thank you |
