Seeing the "disconnected" globe while pinging shows that I can both receive AND send packets without any issue makes it confusing for the naked eye.CC:

lovaren Thank you for the report. It would help pinpoint the problem (drakconnect or Mate?) if you could reproduce it, or not, with a different desktop. Are you able to? Not having WiFi myself, I cannot 'see' these icons. Can you please attach small screenshots of the panel Systray to illustrate them? Just 'selected area', not the entire screen. [Re the already attached screenshot "Picture proof", since it was just terminal output, it could have more simply been copied/pasted directly as a comment]. CC:
