Could help with some words on what it is and why it would be good for Mageia to have it. Severity:

enhancement I agree with Morgan. You, Zombie, furnish many new package requests (we have about 14k SRPMs already (28k pkgs)). The least you can do is say what they are, provide their main site URL (which I have done for you in the past); and offer to maintain them... I can provide a full description, but the thing is, Mageia does not provide me with an ABF in the fashion Rosa does. I generally use Rosa to do my QA work for me, and I recommend you use Rosa's ABF un URL:

https://github.com/AlisterT/openjazz This package looks nearly dead upstream. The last release is from Jan 2019. It needs good reasons to add an nearly dead game (which nobody would like to play in 21th century) to add to an actual distribution. WONTFIX I'm a retro gamer, and thats why I package things like this. Also the github has more. recent commits. Since that's how you want to be, I'll make plans to move my machines still on Mageia off to OpenSuse. Yes maybe there are simply more retro users on another distro where you together better can maintain that culture, just go ahead :) One idea: if you find people packaging as flatpak it may have larger audioence, and a lot of distros including Mageia can run flatpak. A new package need not just to be packaged and tested, it need be checked for licences and most importantly maintained, which cost many hours during years, say i.e dependencies problems, with newer libs, whatever. Wok done by people devoting their spare time - it must feel it is worth it. Remember, Mageia is a community supported distro. You have asked *many* requests, a few got implemented, but I could not find if you ever even helped testing what you yourself requested. (I only looked in a few...) It would help a lot if we recognised you as some kind of contributor in /any/ way of Mageia, not just someone asking for candy repeatedly... |
