Mageia 8 comes with supertuxkart 1.2, which is considered obsolete. supertuxkart 1.3 needs to be backported to Mageia 8 for online play.

MGA8-64 Plasma on Lenovo B50 in Dutch
No installation issues.
Started supertuxkart from CLI, giving loads of feedback but nothing seems to be worth worrying.
Played local game, and seems to work OK.
