This wifi adapter would only work because I initially reported it in previous bug requests and pointing out that there was a driver on GITHUb (aircrack-ng /rtl8812au). This driver was ported into the mageie kernel and I was able to use the adapter. I have now looked again and there would seem that this driver may have been superseded by another driver known as the (gordboy /rtl8812au-5.9.3.2 driver) CC:

kernel we already have the 8812au driver in kernel. you need tp be more specific of any issues, like logs, lsusb output and so on... The wifi adapter is under the scanner heading in the hardware section of the control centre and the information it is listed below: Identification Vendor: Realtek Description: 802.11ac NIC Media class: Connection Bus: USB Bus PCI #: 7 PCI device #: 2 Vendor ID: 0x0bda Device ID: 0x8813 Misc Module: unknown The lsusb output is listed below. RTL8814AU 802.11a/b/g/n/ac Wireless Adapter) and when it was working in mageia 8 it was using the Module: rtl8812au. Seems the last 8812au update disabled 8814 hw support. I've updated the 8812au driver in the kernel so it will be part of 5.16.4-1 that should hopefully be out tomorrow

29960 The update from the kernel 5.16.4-1 has now enabled the Wi-Fi adapter to function correctly again. I would like to be advised if future updates to the kernel will disable the 8814 hw support or has this issue been permanently resolved now. Depends on:
