64-bit Plasma system. Downloaded using qarepo and installed directly, not updated from a previous version. No installation issues.

I last tried this in Bug 28955 Comment 3 where I had a clean install but found the abundant information of the Internet to be a bit overwhelming. 

This time around I searched the web for guidance once more, this time finding https://koditips.com/m3u-playlist-kodi-setup-iptv/ with a relatively simple step-by-step guide on getting started. 

So, I ran Kodi, and was greeted by a request to configure the new add-on. I tried using copy-and-paste to input the url for a sample m3u file from the above web site, but soon found it was necessary to type it in manually. Other than that, I used the default settings. Clicked on OK, then closed Kodi and reran it, clicked on Kodi's TV button, where I found several potential TV channels to try. Some didn't work but several did, so I was able to watch iptv with no real problems.

Seems to be working as designed.
