After upgrading to 8 from KDE access to gdrive is impossible, I removed my old links that seemed to be not accessible and tried to add them again, the login page is not shown any more, but what is worse is that from account there is no google account anymore see attached pitcture.

Is this caulron or Mageia 8 (as indicated in the version above)?
For 8, is kio-gdrive installed?
I haven't installed cauldron on any of my systems yet.

Mageia 8 as indicated. I didn't try on cauldron.

and yes, kio-gdrive is installed.

Bug confirmed. Not having used google drive before,
In dolphin, selecting "remote" from the Networks part of the Places menu,
selecting the Google Drive icon, selecting the "+ Add new account..." button,
selecting Google, the attached error message is displayed with the text

"There was an error while trying to process the requres: Message recipient
disconnected from message bus without replying".

On another install I have that doesn't have my personal customizations, the
Google Drive icon doesn't appear among the options. In that install I selected
the Generic instead, and the same error message as per comment 4 appeared.

Some web search results indicate this may be due to security changes at
google that only allow access through a browser that's logged into google.

well as far as i remember when google account was selected a window asking for logging in google account was presented.

Changes were made in September

I don't know if policy changing had effect, however i tried it on a fedora virtual machine and it opens the account (signeon-ui) login

I found a part of this issue, not the solution yet.
Seems that updating the system kaccounts-providers has not been installed.

I added it and now google is offered when i try to add a new account, but still fail unfortunately.
