dkms status tells me nvidia-current is OK, and BOINC detects CUDA and OpenCL
Tests: Plasma desktop, using Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Ktorrent, Nextcloud client, Firefox ESR, flatpak update, flatpak Firefox...
Stress test: While working with other things BOINC use all cores to 100%, videos do not stutter in Chromium, nor Firefox ESR but do in flatpak version.CC:

fri OK Adding testing with VirtualBox Was testing 5.10.78-desktop-1, now again changing to - cpupower-5.14.17-1.mga8.x86_64 - kernel-userspace-headers-5.14.17-1.mga8.x86_64 (I dont know if it is important to match) and rebooted to kernel 5.14.17 now, and: VirtualBox: Launched my usual MSW7pro-64, tests OK: bidirectional clipboard, shared folders write protected and not, USB2 memory stick read&write (using upstream extension pack), drag file from Dolphin to Windows Explorer, video playing in Firefox. Dell Inspiron 5100, 32-bit P4, Radeon RV200 graphics, Atheros wifi, 32-bit Xfce system using the desktop kernel. No installation issues, and after the reboot, no regressions noted. CC:

andrewsfarm HP Probook 6550b, i3, Intel graphics, Intel wifi, MGA8-64 Plasma. No installation issues. No regressions noted, either. AMD Phenom II X4, AMD HD 8490 graphics, Atheros wifi, 64-bit Plasma system. No installation issues. VirtualBox modules were built during installation, and apparently installed without incident. During the reboot, a message appeared that the rtl8192eu module(s) were being built. This seemed to take a rather long time - several minutes - but the boot eventually completed. After the rebot, checked operation of the rtl8192eu driver, which was OK. VirtualBox, Firefox, VLC, all functioning normally.
