It may be provided in Mageia1 updates repo to allow smooth upgrade from Mandriva

no this is not a backport but an updates as the packages was available in mdv 2010.2 but not in mageia 1

Testing complete on i586 for the srpm
kphotoalbum-4.1.1-4.git.20110909.1.mga1.src.rpm

I had it create ~/Images, then added symlinks in that directory to
../Pictures and ../Videos.

Took an hour or so to index/thumbnail 6900 pictures and Videos.

Added tags to some of the images, tried out the slideshow, etc.

Tested OK x86_64 with the sample data.

Update validated.
