Description Chris Denice 2021-10-31 10:15:22 CET
Description of problem:

Start virtualmoon, the binary is named "atlun" in a terminal. Windows show up and menus are functional, but the main purpose of the program is to display a map of the moon, which fails.

On the authors' website we can read this:

"
MAC AND LINUX SUPPORT:
Unfortunately, we had to stop distributing the Mac and Linux versions due to incompatibilities with OpenGL on the latest versions of these systems which prevent the display of the Moon.
The best solution is to install the Windows version with Wine. Wine is a collection of free libraries for executing a program intended for Windows.
"

INDEED!!

If the authors are incapable of following openGL development, I would suggest to simply obsolete this package, it is currently useless in Mageia.

Cheers,
Chris.

Bug confirmed. Assigning to the registered maintainer.
Joesph, either please alter the package for Mageia 9 to run the windows version
under wine, or have the package obsoleted to ensure it's requires do not
interfere with other packages during an upgrade from m8 to m9.

I've just tried the wine version, it is also not working. A bug is opened on:

I hope upstream will address the issues, that soft is a must :-/
