Well, it seems one of my packages was corrupt, and it was all fixed with this simple command: urpmi --replacepkgs python3-qt5-xml Many thanks to papoteur and nic80 from the French-speaking forum MLO! ;-) Resolution:

Description of problem: Trying to run Frescobaldi for the 1st time since my upgrade to Mga8, and discovered this program can't start anymore.
