Mate is looked after by various people, so having to assign this globally. CC'ing kekepower who got involved in the earlier bug. This request is reasonable in a Cauldron context: the update will have to happen eventually. I will be surprised if it fixes this old problem: Bug 23929 is all about having ~/Desktop created in the native language (if not English). It in turn refers to bug 14358. The problem can be crudely worked around by (I think) creating a new directory Desktop in the local language, copying the contents of Desktop to it, and deleting Desktop. Assignee:
