Can you say in what situation the error above appears? And whether it applies just to Mageia, for example. If not, that would be upstream.

Assigning to the registered maintainer. I don't know whether there's a good reason to push a new version to Mageia 8 (else you can request for it to be pushed to backports), but when the maintainer finds time it is certainly valid to push the newest version to cauldron.

Mageia 9 ships the latest upstream version 3.3.2
