lewyssmith Thanks you, I just see the size limit and think I will not be enough I did it for you; the size of the attachment is 110Kb. Is there something special about this "G-AB kult-helium" mouse? Please post the output of: $ inxi -J both when the mouse is working, and when it is not. (They may be the same). And if it stops working, post the output of: $ journalctl -b --no-hostname | grep mouse

fri Thank you for all this information. The details are confusingly different in the various outputs (lsusb.py is an interesting revelation). From the lists, it looks as if the mouse in question is (for inxi, lsusb, lsusb.py respectively):
> Device-1: 1-9:17 info: USB OPTICAL MOUSE type: Mouse,Keyboard rev: 1.1
> Bus 001 Device 023: ID 4e53:5407 USB OPTICAL MOUSE
> 1-9 4e53:5407 00 2IFs [USB 1.10, 1.5 Mbps, 100mA] ()
noting that its description cannot be seen by lsusb.py, which identifies by name all the other devices.
The fact that the mouse comes back when you unplug/re-plug it is shown by the inxi lists: it is absent from the first one.
Are all the journal entries "usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[10393]: (II) config/udev: Adding input device USB OPTICAL MOUSE (/dev/input/mouse0)"
due to unplugging/re-plugging the mouse? Or do they 'just occur'?
When you bring the mouse back to life by un/re-plugging it, how long does that last before it dies again?
they just occur. why "juil. 16 18:55:26 /usr/libexec/gdm-x-session[10393]: (==) NVIDIA(0): Silken mouse enabled" ? never same time, today i booted with the too mouse, the new one have light and ir on, but no move no click, sometime i get it ok all the day for internet, and other basic, but when i use it in game, it die. at this time, if i unplug replug here it is dmseg : [ 1931.847261] usb 1-9: new full-speed USB device number 13 using xhci_hcd [ 1931.961276] usb 1-9: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 1932.184278] usb 1-9: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 1932.400281] usb 1-9: new full-speed USB device number 14 using xhci_hcd [ 1932.514291] usb 1-9: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 1932.736294] usb 1-9: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 1932.838340] usb usb1-port9: attempt power cycle [ 1933.218285] usb 1-9: new full-speed USB device number 15 using xhci_hcd [ 1933.218434] usb 1-9: Device not responding to setup address. kernel from now the vendor give me back my money, so it is finish ^^ If you can hold on to it a little time still, maybe some dev would like to try something and want that tested by you. Sorry, again, vendor give me back my money. i saw perhaps something else, i 'm running Gnome with Nvidia proprietary driver. on, other computer, with nouveau driver i saw lot of gnome***** in journal with something like kernel message, like keyboard, mouse etc hi From now i have an logiteck mouse, it work, but sensitivity is sometime strange and i always have the mystery "internet keyboard" label for the mouse : https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=6fa1f56407&log=xinput the full hardware probe : https://linux-hardware.org/?probe=6fa1f56407 As the reporter returned this mouse and nobody else seems to use this mouse or have this problem, this bug can not properly worked on or reproduced.
