Cauldron Howdy Marja, I'm just back from holidays and I took a lot of time for answering you ! Before your analysis, I was convinced I was using Mageia 8 : in fact, I never installed Mageia 8, I installed Cauldron as soon as it was available, and after that I just installed regularly all the upgrades "au fil de l'eau", until my systems displayed the official Mageia 8 welcome screen (but the "Mageia Welcome" gadget itself doesn't work anymore :-/). Otherwise I did exactly what you asked and GIMP works now like a charm. Thanks a lot ! Rgds, MiA. Thanks for the feedback, Michel, Closing this report. Resolution:
