Most likely corruption during download or a full file system.
What's the output of the command df?

As root, run "urpmi --clean" and then try again.

Does that fix the issue?

Hi, thanks reporting this.

This is already reported and this is a bad mirror behavior.
Please as root user do:

urpmi --clean

urpmi --auto-update

The above error is raised when a bad RPM was downloader, perhaps because of bad connection, bad gateway or a system going to sleep.

Installation failed, some files are missing:
    http://mageia.mirror.triple-it.nl/distrib/8/x86_64/media/core/updates/firefox-en_GB-78.11.0-1.mga8.noarch.rpm

    http://mageia.mirror.triple-it.nl/distrib/8/x86_64/media/core/updates/firefox-78.11.0-1.mga8.x86_64.rpm
You may need to update your urpmi database.

Try to continue anyway? I selected "no"
20 or more updates came along with the
Firefox update with the original attempt to install the Firefox update, those installed without a problem the first time. It left only the Firefox uninstalled.

The internet here is a CenturyLink fiber optic system which has been the best service I have ever had.
I went to root and ran the command "urpmi --clean" exactly, and this is what the system reported when I tried to update Firefox.

http://mageia.mirror.triple-it.nl/ appears to have dropped the distrib
directory and everything under it.

That mirror has now been dropped from the mirrorlist.

If you've manually selected the mirror, run "urpmi.removemedia -a" and then
select a new mirror.

Whether using a manually selected mirror or not, run "urpmi --clean" again,
and then check for updates.
