supp That's the way it's intended to work. If you don't start the boinc client manually, that it will be started automatically when you start boinc gui. Like other packages intended to be run in the background, such as ktorrent, clicking on the x to close the dialog only minimizes it to the system tray, rather then actually closing it. If you do want it to quit, you have to use file/exit, which will warn you that the client will be closed too. Closing as resolved/invalid. Feel free to reopen, if you disagree. Status:
