Description Kristoffer Grundström 2021-06-07 06:32:07 CEST
Description of problem: I'm trying to build jmtpfs for Mageia and its spec file tells me that libfile-devel is a build requirement. Can we add it? There is a version update for the file package so I think it would fit great.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 5.40

Unsure whether this can be bolted onto the existing 'file' SRPM.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You Kristoffer might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager

please stop "proposing fedora packages" for stuff we already have.

We are not fedora, and we dont follow their naming scheme...

We already have all the bits needed

blindly trying to rebuild stuff from fedora _will_ fail
