Can not confirm this problem. The official Mageia 8 ISOs work well with cdemu, gcdemu and kde-cdemu. Your image "Mageia-8-all-x86_64.img" seems strange. How did you create this? Did you check the checksums of your ISO? Because the offical images are ISOs and are named like this: Mageia-8-Live-GNOME-x86_64.iso Mageia-8-Live-Plasma-x86_64.iso Mageia-8-Live-Xfce-i586.iso Mageia-8-Live-Xfce-x86_64.iso Mageia-8-i586.iso Mageia-8-x86_64.iso ..and not ***.img Ever confirmed:
1 =>
0 Its an install image from: ....../mageia8/x86_64/install/images/ With this informations i can confirm. Status:
UNCONFIRMED =>
NEW (In reply to bascule teller from comment #2) > Its an install image from: > ....../mageia8/x86_64/install/images/ Can you give a URL for it? Unsure of the role of Mageia .img files, even more so cdemu (my system is currently crippled, which prevents me finding out), I am CC'ing some peple who might shed some light. CC:
(none) =>
davidwhodgins, lewyssmith, mageia it's not an iso image... that's what the netinstall iso's are for... the img files only works with dd to usb or memory card Ah, my bad. I thought they were images, and issuing:
cdemu enum-parsers
didn't help because it lists:
PARSER-ISO: ISO Image Parser
application/x-cd-image: ISO images (*.iso, *.bin, *.img)
:)
epsecially as I have in the past come across .img cd image files.
no-ones fault except my own, mea culpa.
this can of course be closed.
bascule
Also, it look like the purpose of cdemu is for use with cd/dvd playing software for videos or music, or writing a new cd/dvd to a pre-allocated file, not for browsing files in an iso. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though closing the bug as above. Status:
