omeritzicschwartz Please change also "Install Mageia Live" to make it more clear. Suggested change: Install Mageia using the live mode. Unsure where to direct this, since it involves wording of the English 'source'. Assigning to Internationalisation Team, who will know; CC'ing the tools group. Component:

Installer A live iso can boot on any supported hardware. During installation to a hard drive an initrd file tailored to that hardware is created. The resulting install is not a live install, it's just an install that was done from a live iso. The only differences between that and an install done from a classical iso or a network iso are the default packages included, and the initial repository setup. The English language constantly evolves and wide variations of word and phrase selection are normal, so referring to an install done from a live iso as a live install is acceptable and has become common, even though it's not accurate from a purely technical viewpoint. Knowing what was used to create an install is useful in debugging due to the differences in the packages and repository setup. The existing phrasing or the proposed changes are both acceptable to me as a native anglophone only speaker. I wouldn't bother changing the English wording, though that's up to the packagers to decide. As to the translations, I leave that to the translation team to decide if that wording needs to be changed. CC:
