Description sturmvogel 2021-04-08 22:48:18 CEST
Description of problem:

If you choose the Breeze Dark theme for Symbols under Xfce and open Audacious, all symbols are invisible in the program. If you choose any other theme for symbols, everything works fine.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Mageia 8 64bit Xfce
2. Chose "Breeze-dark" theme for symbols under systemsettings
3. Open Audacious -> No symbols visible

Chose any other symbol theme -> Works as expected, symbols are visible

Hi, thanks reporting this.
Breeze-dark icons are white, so white on grey is somewhat unreadable I agree.

Why Audacious does not respect the correct theme?

Audacious is a QT media player. Under XFCE, which is GTK3 and not a QT desktop, choosing a Dark Theme is only for GTK3 apps.

Please use qt5ct package to edit QT apps themes under XFCE.

The issue was brought up by an other user who thought that Adacious is broken. Maybe a hint in Wiki/Errata for such rare Qt/Gtk Theme issues could be helpful. New users don't know the difference between Qt/Gtk and so on.
Resolved for my case...
