Description Fred Thuillier 2021-03-28 18:19:47 CEST
Description of problem:
I'd like to install a mattermost client.
I'm not yet using Mageia8 (I will asap) but I didn't find in the madb.

Bellow it seems to be the "official" app.
https://github.com/mattermost/desktop/releases/tag/v4.6.2
I don't know if there are some alternatives.

More from their site (URL header field):
"As an alternative to proprietary SaaS messaging, Mattermost brings all your team communication into one place, making it searchable and accessible anywhere. It’s written in Golang and React and runs as a production-ready Linux binary under an MIT license with either MySQL or Postgres."

We have Golang; but not React. Maybe this does not matter re the binary.

Assigning this package request to all packagers collectively. On a voluntary basis, one of them might, if there are no license or other legal issues, want to integrate it to the distribution and maintain it for bug and security fixes.

You Fred might also want to join the packager team to maintain this piece of software: see https://wiki.mageia.org/en/Becoming_a_Mageia_Packager
