MGA8-64 Plasma. nvidia-current, Apps that use mesa are still OK. Removing the GTX 1660 Ti, using Intel-only chip, Plasma still OK, Compositing and 3D window/blur/woobly window effects are still OK. Giving this an OK. CC:

ouaurelien Updated in a machine using AMD HD 8490 graphics (radeon driver) and an AMD Phenom II X4 processor. Don't know if mesa is actually being used, but nothing appears to be broken. Confirming the OK. Validating. Keywords:

validated_update also needs tests on i586 as this is lo-level hw support stuff Keywords:

(none) Tested on a Dell Inspiron 5100, 32-bit P4, Radeon RV200 graphics, old Atheros wifi, 32-bit Xfce4 system. No installation issues. After a reboot, no issues noted. OK on this system. MGA 8 XFCE with Optimus Technologie nvidai 390 driver Updated with QA Repo. Ok with Intel and Nvidia card (mageia prime used) No graphical issues found. CC:

guillaume.royer Dell Dimension e520, Core2Quad, AMD HD 8570 graphics, rtl8192cu wifi dongle, 64-bit Plasma system.
No installation issues. Also installed gmark2, which pulled in an additional mesa library. After a reboot, no issues noted. Ran glmark2, which reported the following:
OpenGL Information
GL_VENDOR: AMD
GL_RENDERER: AMD Radeon HD 8500 Series (OLAND, DRM 3.40.0, 5.10.25-desktop-1.mga8, LLVM 11.0.1)
GL_VERSION: 4.6 (Compatibility Profile) Mesa 21.0.1
glmark2 completed successfully, awarding a score of 1387, which while not exactly stellar, is acceptable for this aging hardware.
OK on this hardware.
Tested on two Intel-based machines, both with 64-bit Plasma installs: HP Probook 6550b, i3 M350, Intel i915 graphics, Intel wifi. A desktop system, i5 2500, Intel i915 graphics, Ethernet Internet connection. No installation issues on either system. Both before and after the update, I tried running glmark2. The desktop system ran it with no problems, but on the Probook glmark2 crashed with a segmentation fault. There were no other problems in evidence on either system. Since the crash occurred both before and after the update, it isn't a regression, so shouldn't block this update from proceeding. There is a bug 25204 about glmark2 not working on some systems, so I will report this problem there. Same hardware as Comment 6, 32-bit Plasma system. Same results. Whiteboard:
MGA8-64-OK =>
MGA8-64-OK MGA8-32-OK Installed and ran glmark2 on the system from Comment 2. It runs fine, giving a score of 1090. Not as good as the score from Comment 6, but then this gpu isn't as capble as that one, either. Probably enough tests. Validating again. Keywords:
