Dell Inspiron 5100, 32-bit P4,radeon RV200 graphics, Atheros-based wifi, 32-bit Xfce system. The following 5 packages are going to be installed: - libsystemd0-246.11-1.mga8.i586 - libudev-devel-246.11-1.mga8.i586 - libudev1-246.11-1.mga8.i586 - nss-myhostname-246.11-1.mga8.i586 - systemd-246.11-1.mga8.i586 No installation issues. After a reboot, I used the systemctl command to check the status of the fstrim.timer, which tells the system to perform the TRIM command on its SSD once a week. It showed the service as disabled, and it's possible that I neglected to start the service the last time I installed mga8 on this machine. I used the systemctl command to enable and start the service, and to check again on the status. This time it showed as enabled and waiting for Monday to run the TRIM command - exactly as expected. This install is running kernel-desktop 5.10.20-2. I am giving this update a 32-bit OK now, then try the pending kernel update. If there are no problems, I will leave the OK in place. CC:

andrewsfarm AMD Phenom II 910, AMD HD 8490 graphics, Atheros-based PCI-e wifi card, 64-bit Plasma system. The following 5 packages are going to be installed: - lib64systemd0-246.11-1.mga8.x86_64 - lib64udev-devel-246.11-1.mga8.x86_64 - lib64udev1-246.11-1.mga8.x86_64 - nss-myhostname-246.11-1.mga8.x86_64 - systemd-246.11-1.mga8.x86_64 No installation issues. After reboot, tried several harmless informational commands, went through the process to switch to Network Manager. No issues noted. This looks OK for 64-bit. Validating. Whiteboard:
