Should be fixed with upcoming gmic-2.9.4-3.1.mga8 in Core/Updates_testing repo! I re-enable the gimp 2 plugin. CC:

qa-bugs I checked in drakrpm, and indeed the gimp gmic plugin was unavailable. So, I used qa repo to download the above packages into a local repo. I looked again, and it was now available, but when I selected it for installation I was surprised that there were no dependencies to be installed. I had expected some because none of the other gmic packages are installed. I went ahead with just the plugin, because I wanted to see if gimp would complain that something was missing. I loaded an image into gimp after the install, and was able to manipulate it using several gmic filters that had been included with the plugin. Everything looked like it was working as designed. Since the only change to this was to re-enable the plugin, I don't believe installing and testing those other packages is needed for this particular bug. I'm sure that if that is in error, someone will let me know. Giving this an OK, and validating. Advisory in comment 3. This is the second missing gimp plugin that I have tested in the last few days. That makes me wonder how many others there may be that haven't been discovered yet. Whiteboard:
