KMplayer, a QT/KF5 player frontend of mplayer/ffmpeg (not installed by default
segfaults when I click on "Configure KMplayer" from Settings menu.

I think because you have normally recompiled all QT apps against latest QT lib for Mageia 8.

Yes kmplayer was rebuilded against Qt 5.15.2:

$ mgarepo rpmlog kmplayer

- Rebuild for new Qt5

Reproducing:
kmplayer-0.12.0b-8.mga8 segfaults when click "Configure KMplayer" from Settings menu.

Installing kmplayer-0.12.0b-9.git20210126.1.mga8.x86_64.rpm using QA Repo.
Udpate successfully.

Opening KMplayer.
Click "Configure KMplayer" under Setting menu: no segfault, opens correctly Settings GUI.

Well done.
