in (net)installer the trackpoint/touchpad is not working.
An external attached mouse works as expected.

After install all 3 work.

This is a duplicate.
This is too late to review this feature for M8.
Maybe, it is worth try to reintroduce a question to dev/qa or discuss ML.

NO! This is not a duplicate!
- this worked in mga7, the referenced bug is before mga7 was released
- this is not tap-to-click does not work
=> the trackpoint/touchpad is unable to "move" the mouse cursor. So everythin has to be done with an external mouse, or by keyboard.
Please note, it is not just tapping on the touchpad does not work.

FYI: trackpoint is the red knoble on thinkpads.
