Description of problem:
The settings of KNotes cannot be changed because an error this displayed : Failed to extract plugin meta data from '/usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kcm_knote.so'

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Mageia 8 beta2

How reproducible: all my machines with hard install or VM exhibit this issue


Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch KNote
2.Right click on KNote icon in the icon tray -> Settings
3.You get a pop-up windonw stating the error and possibles reasons (url to a snapshot is attached)

Thank you for the report - and the nice screenshot, which saves many words.
I confirm the same thing on an up-to-date M8 system under Plasma.
 knotes-20.12.0-1.mga8

 $ ls -l /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kcm_knote.so
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 84088 Rha  14 14:06
 /usr/lib64/qt5/plugins/kcm_knote.so*

Assigning to KDE group.

Should be fixed with upcoming knotes-20.12.0-2.mga8 update!
