add wpa_supplicant to LXDE only 1586 install =>
add wpa_supplicant to LXDE only i586 install I think a workaround is to redo installation, and select these packages and selecting to not format anything. Loop mouinting manually is too tricky for normal users, and i would need intenet access to read up on it first ;) Much better if task-lxde pull in what is needed for connecting to internet. - that goes for any DE really! - should we check more? High Yes, it is fundamental that WiFi should be installed every time.

nicolas.salguero Hi, I checked how the requirement of wpa_supplicant is handled for Plasma and Gnome, for example, and it appears wpa_supplicant is not directly required by those DEs but by networkmanager (via networkmanager-wifi). I do not think it is the job of a DE to handle such a requirement. For me, the good package should be drakx-net-applet. Hence, not only LXDE but all DEs depending on drakx-net-applet would have wpa_supplicant automatically installed. Currently, I think wpa_supplicant is only installed when the first wireless interface is configured so that a PC without Wi-Fi will not contain a useless package. Best regards, Nico. Source RPM:

I have tried several i586 DE and they are all affected on this hardware. |
