It is true that our version is well out of date; upstream:

I fear we may be already in version freeze for M8, but the request is valid.

Thanks for the report. Fixed with taisei-1.3.1-1.mga8.

I added taisei to https://release-monitoring.org/project/141668/ so that I can track version updates more easily in the future.
